National Physical Education and Sport Week May 1-7, 2005

May 1-7 is National Physical Education and Sport Week
INTRODUCTION

Each year the Public Relations Committee of the National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) develops special integrated activities for you and your class to do during National Physical Education and Sport Week May 1-7, and provides you with ideas to help promote this special week within your school and community. The theme, “Active In America,” is designed to share cultural related activities that will help students learn about America while traveling to five states in five days. We hope you will enjoy sharing the following activities with your students. They were developed to help teachers creatively integrate lessons while teaching national and state standards for physical education.

Physical Education and Sport WeekTo celebrate National Physical Education and Sport Week, NASPE had this special new logo designed. We would like to encourage you to use this new logo on your school website, newsletter, bulletin board, press releases, communications to parents, invitations to special May events, etc.
