CircusFit™ is a national youth fitness program from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey© that encourages America’s youth to lead healthy, active lifestyles by combining the fun of circus skills with stretching, strength building and aerobic exercises. Olympic Week in America
The Olympic Week in America program, designed to be implemented the week of April 30 through May 5, was created for educators’ use in expanding student awareness and appreciation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Olympic Movement. . Through a focus on the Olympic Games, students will be reinforcing their skills in language arts, social studies, math, science, and physical education. The activities also focus on the Olympic ideals of vision, focus, commitment, persistence and discipline. Students are asked to explore the culture, geography and general history of Olympic nations in addition to learning about the history of the Olympic Games and Olympic sports. Project ACES takes place the first Wednesday in May as part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, during National Physical Education and Sport Week. PACES is an acronym for 'Parents And Children Exercise Simultaneously.’ PACES Day takes place every weekend throughout the year, highlighted on the first Saturday in May. Children need daily, quality physical education in schools, and exercise time at home (PACES). Saturday, May 10, 2008 will launch the first annual PACES Day. PACES Day will always take place on the Saturday that follows Project ACES day. On this day, parents will exercise with their children for 15-45 minutes. Passport to Play
