Indicators:
Wrist sprains are the most common wrist injury often resulting from falling on an outstretched hand. As with any ligament sprain, there will be pain and difficulty moving the wrist, along with various degrees of swelling and tenderness over the area depending upon the severity of the sprain.
Treatment:
Rest, along with wrist immobilization (wrist brace) and anti-inflammatory medication is the first line of treatment. After inflammation is reduced, wrist extension stretching exercises and strengthening exercises is recommended.
